Living in different countries all over the world has greatly inspired my outlook on life and, by consequence, my photography. Moving around from place to place requires an open mind and fosters a lifetime of learning about different cultures and how you relate to them. Berlin Scrolls are scrolls with photographs. The photographs were all taken in Berlin. They depict Berlin blind walls in the background pattern and in the large photograph in the foreground a scene inspired by Japanese aesthetic ideas like wabi sabi and mono no aware. My photography is often abstract and resembles painting. Japanese art is a major source of inspiration in my work.
